I had been thinking about a monopod for a long time but after seeing a few video's on the Manfrotto BHDV-1, I totally fell in love with this model: a true hybrid between a tripod and a monopod. It's got three little legs and a fluidhead, it goes up to 200cm, folds up to 76cm and it's... light! At well under 2 kg it must be the ultimate portable solution. Aside from a carbon fiber version that would be a hefty extra investment... Anyway, it appears that once you've got a taste of this monopod, youre hooked.
